bông lúa vàng mới cắt xong đều xếp rải rác từng hàng trên bờ ruộng trong đám cỏ
xanh và dầy. Mỗi khi gặt được vài lượm lúa, người thợ hái ôm sát bó lúa them
vào người, đem ra xếp vào chỗ lúa trước.

The
newly golden ears of rice were arranged in sporadic rows on the edge of the
rice-paddy fields, amid green and thick grass. Every time, after reaping a few
handfuls of rice stalks, the reaper held the bundle of rice close to him, and
carried it away to line it with the previous ones.

The bustling sound made by the scythes cutting the rice stalks reminded us of
the grazing of cattle.
