20. Winter night

Đêm đông	Winter night

Trời rét như cắt. Mưa rả rich. Gió thổi mạnh, cành là chuyển động ào ào. Ở bên ngoài, tối đen như mực. Thực là một cảnh tiêu điều buồn bã.	It is piercingly cold. The rain is falling down continually. The wind is blowing hard, and the leaves are rustling. Outside the house, the night is pitch dark. It is a sad and deserted scene indeed.

Nhưng buồn mà cũng có vui. Trong nhà kín đáo, dưới ngọn đèn sang tỏ, cha đấy, mẹ đấy, ông bà đấy, anh chị em cùng ngồi xum họp cả đấy. Mẹ khâu vá, cha đọc báo, các con học hành hay xum quanh bà để nghe kể chuyện cổ tích.	But in this gloomy atmosphere, there are also joys. In a closed house, under a bright lamp; father, mother, grandparents, brothers and sisters are all gathered together. Mother is busy doing her needlework, father is reading newspapers and the children are learning their lessons or sitting round grandmother to listen to the old stories.
