Ông Trịnh Hạo đời xưa là một người hiền hậu. Ông rất quý người và không nói xấu ai bao giờ. Khi thấy ai nói xấu người nào, thi ông bênh vực ngay, hay là không bắt chuyện, rồi về sau ông mới thúng thỉnh mới rằng lời người ta đồn vị tất đã thật.	Trinh Hao who lived in the old times was a kind-hearted man. He treasured others and never talked behind anyone’s back. When someone spole ill of another person, he immediately advocated the absentee, or didn’t engage in the converstation; later on he slowly said that rumours might not be true.

Ông lại là người có độ lượng, không bao giờ giận ai. Có lần đang dự tiệc, bị người khác chế nhạo, ai cũng lấy làm bất bình, nhưng ông cứ để mặc, không hề cãi lại, sau mới nói rằng: “Ta không nên chấp người say rượu”.	He was also a generous man who never got angry with anyone. One day, while attending a party, he was mocked at, and everyone was indignant, but he kept silence without answering back, finally he said: “we shouldn’t take heed of a drunken man.”
